Birth Doula Care
My goal as a birth doula is to help you birth in a way that is empowering for you, as you enter a new role in life - to help you not simply survive your childbirth experience, but to thrive in it. Whether you desire a home birth or a hospital birth and whether you choose to give birth medicated or unmedicated, you deserve to be supported in those choices. I have supported families who are welcoming their first baby at home and also families welcoming their fifth baby at the hospital. There are so many options for women in birth and no two births are the same. Every woman should have the knowledge to make informed decisions during their pregnancy and birth and to feel supported in their goals and their choices.
Birth Doula Packages
Birth Basics - $1,400
The Basic package is great for first time parents, VBAC mamas, or first time out of hospital families and includes the following:
Ongoing phone/text/email support throughout pregnancy and access to my lending library and local resources.
Two in-home prenatal visits - to discuss your goals and desires for labor, research and draft your birth plan, discuss nutrition, exercise, and labor prep suggestions, and of course any questions or concerns you may have!
On-call period from 38 weeks until the birth of your baby.
Continuous doula support throughout labor until your baby is born - We will be in touch as soon as contractions begin, and I will join you at home or your place of birth once you feel you are in need of support. I will provide you with physical and emotional support and comfort measures, according to your goals and desires, until baby is born with no time limit or extra fee for a lengthy labor!
Staying in the birth space up to two hours after birth, assistance with first latch if desired.
One postpartum home visit within the first two weeks to make sure breastfeeding and postpartum recovery are going well, and to relive and celebrate your birth story. I am also available for ongoing phone/text/email support for the first 6 weeks postpartum.
Birth PLUS - $1,650
The Plus package includes everything in the Basic package, plus a little more on the postpartum side! Great for families looking for a little more breastfeeding support or family support in the early postpartum days/weeks.
Two full postpartum sessions - 4 hour visits, to include any of the following you desire:
Light housekeeping/meal prep
Breastfeeding support and assistance
Newborn care and/or sleep/scheduling/soothing techniques
Just the Birth - $1,100
This is the perfect package for Veteran parents who have given birth before and already know the process and what they want, and just want support during their labor and birth. Includes:
One prenatal meeting - to discuss desires for labor.
On call period starting at 38 weeks until the birth of your baby.
Continuous doula support throughout labor until our baby is born - beginning either at your home or at the hospital or birth center, whichever you prefer. Physical and emotional support and comfort measures, according to your goals and desires, until baby is born with no time limit.
Staying in the birth space up to two hours after birth, assistance with first latch if desired.
One Postpartum visit within the first two weeks to make sure everything is going smoothly and relive and celebrate your birth story with you!
